Maria received her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alabama after completing a Bachelor’s in Music and Communication Sciences and Disorders at Florida State University. She is passionate about the importance of literacy in language development, and she has worked as a specialist in language-based reading and writing therapy for children and adolescents with dyslexia and other reading disorders. She also has experience working with children that have a variety of communication difficulties, including receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, stuttering, autism, and developmental delay. Maria loves working with kids and believes therapy can be fun as they learn and develop skills for functional communication.
